We can usually give you a quote on your move without coming out to your house to see the table. Here are a few questions first.
How do I position the table, do I have enough room?
We are often forced by the retailer not to discuss this subject. They sometimes want to sell a table at all costs and don't care if you have room to play once it's installed in too tight a room.
The billiard cues(sticks) are almost 5' long. And remember to allow more space for spectator chairs and other furniture. You can also use smaller cues and a table still can be played on with a few tight spots.
So use the following as a rough guide:
------Table Size-------Dimention-------- Room Size----
-------------7'----------------3' 6" x 7'------------- 13' 6" X 17'-------
-------------8'----------------4' 0" x 8'------------- 14' 0" X 18'-------
-------------9'----------------4' 6" x 9'------------- 14' 6" X 19'-------
How do I know if I need to replace the cloth?
Recovering the cloth or felt of the table is only necessary if it is worn out or the color doesn't match your home decor. It is cheaper to recover the cloth during a move because the table is already disassembled And we are already there.
The same as the new table, but ask the seller a few more question and then inspect it yourself. A used table's cloth usually can be re-used, unless it is torn, worn or it doesn't match your house decor.
Look for worn, ripped or broken leather pockets. Look for water damaged wood cabinet or rails. Look for chipped or broken slate under the bed cloth. If the slate is chipped on the edges of the outside. You should be able to re-use. Check the billiard rail response by bouncing a ball against it. Over time the rail bumper's "bounce" will diminish. The rubber under the billiard cloth will become "dead". We can replace the bumpers for about a $125 in addition to the price of the cloth recovery. Cloth Recovery: Usually $150 plus the cloth which is about $100. view cloth colors
